Inspiration can be found anywhere. In this case I was asked to design a hat, the material being a very specific kind of paper. I carried this paper around with me everywhere, and I mean everywhere.

It was while taking a shower with the paper I discovered there was a small period of time that the paper would become like clothe and could easily be shaped without tearing. Once dried the material would keep its shape.

After some experimentation of different soaking and drying methods developed

a process that allowed me to mold shape and even pin the paper without it tearing.
