Having spent years on around and under the sea. I elected to design a hanger for maritime life and sailboats in particular. Doing laundry is always a challenge on a boat and while sun and rope are never sparse it was always a challenge hanging clothes up to dry. Traditional clothe pins could not grip the thick ropes and 

would crumble in the brutal sun.

 

The design for this hanger utilizes geometric locking  to lock onto ropes and in the nautical spirit offers a second layer of protection from clothes being blown off into the sea.
